IT'S A QUALITY LIFE

An audio drama planned for Podcast release later in 2024, based upon and inspired by Frank Capra's film 'It's a Wonderful Life'.

Accomplished and talented voice actors needed for the following 10 male, 5 female characters. CHARACTERS

HEAVEN BOSS/GOD (M) The voice of the almighty, although in a Glasgow accent.

CHARLIE (M) A frustrated semi-angel who would gladly do anything to gain his much-desired wings.

GEORDIE BAILEY (M) A decent young man who only wants to do well in life – see the world, go to University and succeed. Alas, as life tends to do, it has other less ambitious plans for him, and he ends up as manager of a bank.

HARRY BAILEY (M) Geordie’s younger brother, whom Geordie saved from drowning when they were younger.

SAMMY McCREADY (M) A old pal, who Geordie feels has his own desires for the affections of Geraldine.

BARMAN (M) Serves a depressed Geordie in his pub.

UNCLE WULLIE (M) Works alongside Geordie in the bank

LOAN SHARK (M/F) A cold, unfeeling financier who is approached by Geordie at a time of crisis.

BILLY DALRYMPLE (M) The local taxi driver

ANGRY MAN (M) Upset at the bank’s financial collapse

MRS BAILEY (Maw) (F) Geordie’s mum

MRS McINNES (Geraldine’s Mum) A rather cantankerous woman who only wants what’s best for her daughter. (F)

GERALDINE McINNES (F) She lives with her mother and meets up with Geordie – and they fall in love with each other - although it takes both some time to express their feelings.

CROTCHETY OLD WOMAN (F) Yells at Geordie for talking too much in the street and neglecting to kiss Geraldine.

WORRIED WOMAN (F) Upset at the bank’s financial collapse.
